On a recent sunny Sunday afternoon, Cornell Roofing & Sheet Metal held its first company picnic in nearly a decade. It was attended by families and team members at Faulkner’s Ranch. The dunking booth was a big hit with Wally Geib and Shane Muhl both taking turns “cooling off” as kids and crew members took aim. BBQ with all the fixings were enjoyed by all.
As with any stately event, there were of course, some lighthearted appointments to Queen Mary’s Court!
A petting zoo, fishing pond, self-propelled tractor races, a gummy-bear pie eating contest and water balloon toss were among the many fun family activities.
Hunting for Gummie Bears in cream pies!
“Queen” Mary McNamara proclaimed the day a great success and pledged to continue this tradition next year. “Everyone had a great time and it was fun to see the many kids just being kids,” then she added with a smile, “some of the adults too!”
Take-home cooler goodie bag, ribbons and prizes for the different competitions completed the day as Monday morning would be here soon enough.
